The WWE Network-hosted Elimination Chamber pay-per-view is shaping up to be, at least by the state of the card, one of the more attractive and anticipated shows in recent months.
Several blockbuster matches have already been set up, with more likely to follow before the event takes place on May 31.
And as is often the case with a pay-per-view that generates plenty of hype, there are some massive X-factors to watch out for at Elimination Chamber.
Fight Owens Fight
As Raw debuts go, sauntering down to the ring, dropping the company's top guy and then walking off isn't a bad way to start.
That's exactly what happened when Kevin Owens made his debut on the WWE's flagship show this past week, setting up a match with JohnCena in the process.
To quote @Matt_Striker_ "I'm markin' out bro!" @JohnCena vs. @FightOwensFight at #EiliminationChamber on @WWENetwork /www.wwe.com/shows/eliminationchamber/2015/john-cena-vs-kevin-owens …
Owens' debut made quite a stir, especially the symbolic stamping ofCena's United States Championship moments after the NXT star laid him out.
We know now Owens and Cena will go toe-to-toe at the event, and it will be interesting to see just how their match pans out.
Will Owens register a huge surprise victory against Cena, or will the U.S. champ get a bit of revenge? We might learn a few clues from Owens' title match against Sami Zayn on Wednesday.
Should Owens drop the title, it might lean toward a permanent move to the main roster and a sustained challenge for Cena's United States Championship.
Rusev's Next Move
Three straight pay-per-view losses in a row was hardly what many would have predicted for Rusev this time six months ago.
He was on a real dominant run before running into John Cena and is now at an interesting crossroads for his career.
He's been added to the Intercontinental Championship match at Elimination Chamber, and even if he doesn't pick up the belt, a strong showing is required.
It may be that Rusev's rivalry with Dolph Ziggler (and now Lana) will be incorporated into the match, and that may lead to a sustained rivalry after Elimination Chamber.
But WWE has to ensure that it gets Rusev's booking as strong as humanly possible here, regardless of the final result.
The Growth of Dean Ambrose
He's fast becoming the WWE's most unmissable and enthralling character, and when Dean Ambrose goes one-on-one with Seth Rollins at Elimination Chamber, it will be simply sensational.
Two former members of The Shield main eventing for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship is a testimony to the hard work and skill of both Ambrose and Rollins, and it brings about the rejuvenation of their excellent feud from late last year.
Ambrose probably won't win here, but how he's booked to ensure he remains strong is without a doubt one of the most important parts of Elimination Chamber.
A lot of good work has been invested into the momentum he currently has. You would imagine a clean loss here could be a real setback, so Ambrose has to keep growing and keep gaining popularity ahead of a more likely challenge at the belt later in the year.
