Will AJ Lee Get Nomination in Teen Choice Awards?

The fans of former wrestler AJ Lee, who quit WWE earlier this year, had a busy day on Tuesday in order to get a nomination in a category in Teen Choice Awards.

They have suggested AJ Lee's name for the Choice Sports – Female Athlete category. The nominations were open with the '#ChoiceFemaleAthlete' hashtag on social media sites. Many names were doing rounds with the fans of different celebrities bringing in their stars' names. In fact, Nikki Bella's was also suggested by many for the same.

The AJ Lee fans pages on Twitter were responding to the hashtag by citing many reasons. They claimed that she is an inspirational personality for the women as she overcame a lot of odds and obstacles in her short career with WWE.

The Teen Choice Awards honour the personalities from music, cinema, sports, television, fashion, and other industries. Achievers in the present year will be chosen from different categories through the votes from the teen viewers between the age group of 13 and 19 years.

The annual event was kick-started in 1999 and tennis player Serena Williams had won the Female Athlete Award last year. For the current year, the nominations have been closed and the list will be announced shortly.

However, coming back to AJ Lee, the wrestler quit from WWE in a hush-hush manner in April 2015. While her retirement was on the cards, the manner in which she bid goodbye to the sports-entertainment show shocked her fans. Her personal issues forced her to put in her papers in such a short notice, says reports.

Nonetheless, AJ Lee has been the popular face among divas on WWE and appreciated for becoming a big name in the industry in a short period. Her peers praised her for rejuvenating the divas section in WWE.
